Angels Prepare To Get Wiped Out In New York
You know there is zero chance that the Angels will beat the Yankees. So if you would like for New York to NOT win another World Series, you better start figuring out who you like in the NL.
Asking yourself who you like in the NL is like going down to a AAA game without a program and trying to figure out if you’ve heard of any of the players. With that logic, I am picking the Rockies because you don’t know 90% of their players but you do know that Troy Tulowitzki is awesome and Brad Hawpe quietly puts up big years.
Of course, the Red Sox could wake up and rattle off three games to win the ALDS, but it just doesn’t quite feel like their is enough life in that team. It’s really disappointing seeing so much nothingness.
Sunday needs a blowout win. The 16-5 kind where the team feels great about themselves and the Angels suddenly sweat for a night. Any sort of 2-1, 3-2, type games could lead to a late struggle that wins you Game 3 but leaves you with no bullets for Game 4.
If the Sox can walk out onto the field at Fenway and lay the wood, then we have a series. But if they just pussyfoot through their first few innings, then we are looking at offseason trade discussions and speculating on potential deals way earlier in the year than we want to.
